Qualche ora fa, su GitHub, è stata rilasciata la nuova versione del client Boinc, la 7.24
La sfilza di novità è presente qui

I wish they would do something with the linux client. Still running 7.18.x on some Ubuntu LTS versions and 7.20.x with the Fedora distributions. Supposedly they are building Berkeley supported repositories instead of relying on 3rd-party maintainers. No linux client available yet.

If i'm not wrong, some time ago, they are searching for linux developer (volunteer)

They did find a developer to setup the repositories and develop the build process for both .deb and .rpm packages. I was able to find their repositories and asked if they were available and what the strategy was going forward for the linux client. This was the response I received:

No, they are not usable yet. We haven't tested them at all. We are planning to start alpha test of this approach with the next release.
But please keep in mind that this is not promised to work from the first try, so it might take several bug-fix releases to make it usable.

No, will not rely on the distro maintainers anymore. You should still see there release of BOINC, but the recommended way of installing it will be the official BOINC website.

Currently, you have no way to install 7.22.2 release of BOINC for Linux using this approach.
The first release that we will test using this approach is future 7.24.0.

Ovviamente, rilasciata la 7.24, hanno messo in beta test la 7.24.1 con le seguenti release notes (che includono anche la 7.24):

the default value for the "suspend_if_no_recent_input" pref is 0, not 60

La 7.24.1 è stata dichiarata ieri stabile e pubblicata come versione più recente.

come già narrato in chat con questi messaggi

riscontro lo stesso errore anche dopo l'ulteriore update di Boinc.
Aggiornando il Windows (10) o ripartendo dopo una chiusura non canonica (interruzione energia elettrica p.e.) il Boinc non riconosce le gpu (Nvidia o ATI).
La soluzione, che ho trovato, è quella di spegnere un'altra volta il pc e riavviarlo.
A questo successivo riavvio, senza nulla cambiare (come p.e. ricaricare i driver o altro), il tutto riprende a funzionare correttamente.
Se qualcuno di Voi ha avuto gli stessi problemi può indicarmi per caso il motivo di tale situazione ?
