ARGOMENTO:

I have noticed on a couple of the challenges that my stats get missed or partially counted during some intervals. It seems to correct itself after a time. A a result, I can move as many as 2 positions in the standings at times. The data can be a little misleading so I don't focus on it much.

Un po' in ombra invece entity, secondo me Boinc 8 su Linux "paga" meno del solito. Non saprei come altro spiegare i pochi crediti assegnati alle sue tonnellate di wu.

I think they finally adjusted the points mis-match at Gerasim. The last time we competed in a Sprint at Gerasim they were giving as much as a 1000 points per work unit on the Linux side. Some participants were complaining because the credit given to Windows users were quite a bit smaller. Now it is about 100 or less on the Linux side. I thought they might try to match the credit granted at NumberFields but Gerasim is smaller and variable while at Numberfields they are awarding about 224 fixed points per work unit for the identical work unit.

I ran a linux client (160 wu) and it seems that granted credit is higher than the windows client on the same machine

I don't have any Windows instances so I can't do any comparisons. I had about 30% of my workunits that were granted more than 100 points but I don't remember seeing 160 but I didn't look through all of them. Many were less than 100. I finished in 9th place (last) in the group one users. I attributed that to others using GPUs or had more CPU instances than I have. I have some older CPUs (Phenom 6 core) that I'm going to replace this year and about 3 others I going to upgrade from 3950s to 7950X systems. After that I plan on adding about 3 4070 GPUs so I can better participate in Sprints that favor GPUs. Until then I will have to be happy with last place.

Gli admin del progetto (SiDock) e non FB, hanno tolto circa 20M di crediti al team.
Non è bello e viene da pensare che potrebbe non essere la prima volta.

E' in corso il secondo sprint della stagione di Formula Boinc.
Per chi volesse spingere un po' il team, il progetto è NumberFields.

Ciao, il prossimo week end inizierà la stagione di F1 e, di conseguenza, partiranno gli sprint di Formula Boinc.
Dal momento che il team è iscritto, se qualche anima pia avesse voglia di dedicare qualche core alla causa...
Può essere che il progetto non interessi ai più ma eventualmente anche solo qualche ora, giusto per non essere proprio ultimi come spesso accade.

Per ogni sprint, il progetto scelto viene annunciato solamente all'inizio dello sprint.

Buongiorno, per partecipare a Formula Boinc basta che sul manager sono collegato al team oppure devo fare qualche procedura di registrazione?

Basta essere registrato nel team di BOINC.Italy dei vari progetti
