Il 10 febbraio la Krembil annuncia di aver iniziato il trasferimento dei progetti: "We have started to transfer data for all active WCG projects to the Krembil Research Institute. We are gearing up to start testing the whole system on February 28, 2022."
Il 14 aprile scrivono che: "Workunit management, website and forums, and APIs have been subjected to unit tests, integration testing, and manual inspection to validate previous WCG functionality. Over 80% of tests and checks have been completed in the Krembil QA environment to date."
Il 22 aprile, una settimana dopo, doccia fredda e nuova deadline: "With a heavy heart we must announce to volunteers our intent to delay restarting the WCG until May 9th, 2022. Several issues discovered in our production environment remain unresolved, making it impossible to meet the April 22, 2022 deadline at this time.."
"We are currently facing unexpected issues with the load balancer - a small but critical component that ensures science servers will cope with increased workloads. If not resolved on time, it would prevent us from restarting on May 9th. We will provide an update tomorrow evening. Unfortunately, we must now conduct further testing starting tomorrow to confirm that the system is ready. We continue to work on this tonight and we aim to update you tomorrow [May 9th, 2022] with the revised start date for the WCG, unless we run into some unexpected challenges."
"We were able to address the issues we were facing. As we are now able to continue with testing the system we plan to reassess the earliest WCG restart date we can commit to by Thursday evening (May 12th), when we will post an updated schedule to social media and to the website."
Il 13 maggio, con un giorno di ritardo, viene annunciata la nuova deadline: "The revised date for launch will be May 24th, 2022, after Victoria day."
"QA testing has finally successfully finished and all the bugs have been resolved. Production environment is being tested right now. Considering the unexpected issues we ran into, we prefer to test it a couple of days more. We will provide further details in the next few days."
"We were unable to bring our production environment to the same state as the QA environment this week. As we also have yet to resolve an issue that prevents BOINC clients from downloading workunits, the effort to bring the Grid back online has stretched into next week."
